The Golden Inmediens 2023 Entrepreneurship Gold Award ceremony for the entrepreneurs in the field of indigenous medicine was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena on 19.03.2024 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla.

According to the concept of State Minister of Indigenous Medicine Sisira Jayakodi, this entrepreneurship award ceremony was organized for the appreciation of entrepreneurs in the field of indigenous medicine, and promoting them both locally and internationally, by the Sri Lanka Ayurveda Promotion Private Company under the guidance of the State Ministry of Indigenous Medicine, Department of Ayurveda, and Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation.

New Pakistani High Commissioner Major General (Retd.) Faheem Ul Aziz called on Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at the Temple Trees on March 15.

A special discussion with all District Secretaries and Divisional Secretaries of the island under the theme ’Prelude to a strong future – 2024’ was held today (15) at the Sri Lanka Foundation in Colombo, under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and with the participation of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

Five major programmes proposed in the 2024 budget were taken for discussion.

’International Buddhist Conference Hall’ built in Kelaniya Vidyalankara Pirivena.

The fully fledged International Buddhist Conference Hall at Kelaniya Vidyalayankara Pirivena was constructed by the National Physical Planning Department at a cost of 170 million when Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena was holding the portfolio of the Minister of Urban Development.

Later, due to issues with several related organisations, there was a problematic situation in using the center. Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena recently spent the time with the visually impaired, hearing impaired and speech impaired children of the Ceylon School for the Deaf and Blind at Ratmalana.

He inquired about the issues pertaining to them and served them with refreshment. Each year, the Prime Minister makes a habit of allocating his time for the children of the Ceylon School for the Deaf and Blind at Ratmalana.

The Ceylon School for the Deaf and Blind at Ratmalana is the first school in Sri Lanka dedicated to the education of children with special needs.
