Her Excellency Bonnie Harbach, who served as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Sri Lanka, met with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya today (28) at the Prime Minister’s Office, prior to concluding her term of service and departing the country.
During the meeting, attention was drawn to further strengthening bilateral relations. The Ambassador expressed her appreciation regarding Sri Lanka’s longstanding tradition of peaceful elections and stated that she values the current government’s approach.
She also emphasized that the Government of the Netherlands will continue to provide its support in helping Sri Lanka overcome its challenges.
The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the support extended by the Netherlands to Sri Lanka and requested that such cooperation continues in the future, while also offering the best wishes for the Ambassador’s future undertakings.
The meeting was attended by the secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr.Pradeep Saputhantri; Political Affairs Advisor at the Netherlands Embassy, Mr. Namal Perera; and Assistant Director of the Europe and North America Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Thiwanka Athuraliya.
