Poson Full Moon Day is a special day for Sri Lankan Buddhists, commemorating the visit of Anubudu Mihindu Maha Rahat Thera and the group of monks carrying the message of pure Buddhism.
The Sri Lankan society nourished by agricultural economy was scientifically enlightened by the philosophy of truth of the teachings of Buddhism.
It is everyone’s duty to exercise good restraint as it was preached by Mihindu Maha Rahat Thera in the Chullahatthi Padopama Sutra then at Missaka pawwa.
The true Dharma cannot be rejected in any way. The person who realizes the true Dharma finds the essence of Buddhism. Let us lighten up our lives with the essence of the true philosophy taught by the Buddha.
At a time like this, when we need to think far and wide, let’s line up on Poson Full Moon day for a society that represents noble virtues at every aspect.
