The Swedish government focus on solving higher education opportunities and visa issues in Sweden

The Swedish government focused on developing renewable energy sector of Sri Lanka while increasing educational opportunities and mitigating the visa difficulties for Sri Lankan students in Sweden.

These opinions were expressed in a discussion held between the Prime Minister Dr.Harini Amarasuriya and the Swedish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mr. Jan Thesleff at the Prime Minister’s Office, Flower Road,Colombo on 04.10.2024.

India assures fullest support to Sri Lanka’s development efforts

Indian Minister of External Affairs, Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar called on Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister’s Office in Colombo today (October 4).

Dr Jaishankar congratulated the Prime Minister and conveyed the best wishes from the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the election victory of the NPP alliance at the presidential election held on September 21. He assured India’s commitment to work together to further strengthen close bilateral relations. “You can count of our fullest support,” he said.

IMF representatives meet the Prime Minister.

A productive discussion between the Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and the representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was held at the Prime Minister’s Office this afternoon (04.10.2024).
