Courtesy Call on Prime Minister by the Incoming IMF Mission Chief

The International Montery Fund (IMF) delegation paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya today (07) at the Prime Minister’s Office to review the economic affairs of the country.

The discussion was centered on progress of Sri Lanka thus far under the IMF-supported programme and the next steps required to achieve the future economic targets of the country.

Both parties exchanged views on emerging economic challenges, and need for progress solution and action.

The Member States of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) express their deepest condolences to the governments and peoples of Myanmar and Thailand in the aftermath of the powerful earthquake of 7.7 magnitude that struck central Myanmar on 28 March 2025.

Ambassador of the Czech Republic Meets Sri Lankan Prime Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Relations.

SIBA Theoaritical Dance performance Held under the Partonage of the Prime Minister

The "Ingi" choreographical presentation, organized by the Pallekele International Buddhist Academy (SIBA), was held on March 19 at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre with the participation of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.

SIBA was established in 2016 under the concept by the Diyawadana Nilame of the Temple of Tooth Relic, Mr. Pradeep Nilanga Dela, with the aim of preserving traditional Sri Lankan dance customs for future generations.
