Mahinda Bandusena |

Mr.
Mahinda Bandusena was appointed Secretary to the
Prime Minister on 21st November 2005. Prior to
this assignment, he was the first resident Sri
Lanka Ambassador to the State of Israel and was
concurrently accredited as Sri Lanka Ambassador
to Turkey . He was posted to Israel in October
2000 while he was functioning as Secretary to
the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs
and Plantation Industries, a position normally
held by the most senior member of the Administrative
Service of Sri Lanka.
During his career
spanning over 40 years, Mr. Bandusena has held
various key posts such as Secretary to the Ministry
of Industrial Development and immediately preceding
that assignment he was functioning as State Secretary
and Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Defence
for a period of 8 ½ years.
Mr. Bandusena entered
the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) through
the open competitive examination in 1965 and since
then has held such positions as Director, Deputy
Director, Senior Asst. Secretary, Asst. Commissioner,
Asst. Director etc. in several Ministries and
Departments before joining the Ministry of Defence.
The various positions so held and the wide knowledge
and experience gained by him had come in good
stead in his eventful career.
Mr. Bandusena holds
a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University
of Ceylon (presently known as University of Peradeniya)
and a Diploma in Development Studies from the
University of Cambridge, U.K. He was selected
to participate in “US State Department's Visitor
Programme” in 1991.
During his long career
he had represented Sri Lanka at various international
forums conferences, workshops, seminars etc.,
besides leading Sri Lanka delegations for air
talks in several countries in Asia and Middle
East and loan negotiations with ADB, JBIC etc. |

| Mr. G.Wijayasiri |

Mr. G. Wijayasiri who was a member
of Sri Lanka’s Foreign Service was appointed as Consultant
(Foreign Relations) to the Prime Minister in December 2007.
Mr. G. Wijayasiri graduated from the University of Ceylon,
Peradeniya with an Honours degree in History.He joined the
Foreign Service in 1967 having been placed first in the order of merit.
He had his basic training in diplomacy in Canberra on a Fellowship
given by the Australian government under the Colombo Plan.
He had served in Sri Lankan Missions in Nairobi, Tokyo,
New Delhi, Stockholm, Bonn, Tokyo (second posting) and Seoul.
His postings in Stockholm, Bonn, Tokyo (second posting) and Seoul were as Ambassador.
In the Foreign Ministry, he had worked in the Africa
and Non-Aligned Division and the Economic Affairs Division.
He served as Director General Economic Affairs from 1991 – 1994,
with a break, when there was a special unit called Bilateral Cooperation Division
to coordinate economic activities of our Missions abroad.
After his retirement in 2000, he was appointed a Consultant in the Foreign Ministry,
and later served as Secretary Foreign Affairs in 2001. He was a mid – career Fellow
at St Antony’s College, Oxford University in the academic year 1992 – 1993.
He wrote the chapter on Sri Lanka and Japan in the publication – South Asia
– Distant Neighbours – issued by Sage Publications in New Delhi in 1993.
He contributed an article on Sri Lanka – Japan relations to the publication
issued in 2002 to mark the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka
and Japan with funding from Japan Foundation.
Among the many international conferences attended by him was the Fifth Non-Aligned
Summit held in Colombo in 1976. |

Priyadarshanee Chandrathilake |

Ms. Chandrathilake started her preliminary education at Musaeus College,
Colombo 07 and received her secondary education at Visakha Vidyalaya,
Colombo 04 and thereafter qualified professionally as an Attorney - at -Law in 1998.
Then she pursued her education further and read for Master of Public Administration
Degree during the period from 2004 to 2006 and obtained the post graduate
qualification with ‘A' Grade Pass from the Post Graduate Institute of Management,
University of Sri Jayewardenepura. At present she is reading for Master of
Philosophy/Phd Programme at the University of Colombo.
She has gained experience as a Co-ordinating Secretary and a
Private Secretary in several Ministries since 1991 and also as the Executive Director,
Land Reform Commission and Director General Tower Hall Theatre Foundation.
She is now the Private Secretary to Honourable Prime Minister. While serving in
these capacities she is also engaged in legal practice as an Attorney–at-Law,
since 1998, in both Civil and Criminal Courts with permission from the employer.
She is also associated with many radio and television programmes.
She has participated in international affairs on several occasions representing Sri Lanka. |

|
Mr. S.S. Miyanawala,
an officer of the special grade of the SLAS,
assumed duties in the post of Additional Secretary
to the Prime Minister on the 23rd of May, 2008.
Prior to that, he held the post of Director
(Mgt. & Fin.) of the National Procurement Agency of Sri Lanka
which functioned under the Presidential Secretariat.
He entered the Sri Lanka Administrative Service in 1982
and served in the Districts of Batticaloa, Matale, Galle
and Kalutara. At the Ministry of Finance and Planning where
he served for 12 years, he was Assistant Secretary initially,
handling Cabinet and Parliamentary Affairs and later as Senior
Assistant Secretary. Concurrently, he worked in the Departments
of Customs & Excise as a Deputy Director. Thereafter, for
two years, he served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as
a Senior Assistant Secretary. During this period, he visited
the Sri Lankan Missions in Cairo, Doha/Qatar, Dubai, Abudabi
and Muscat / Oman on a Management/Audit inspection on
behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2002 / 2003.
He possesses 2nd class (Hons) degree in Geography and Bachelors
Degree in German obtained from Kelaniya University. Added
qualifications are Diploma in English and Certificate
in Public Administration awarded by SLIDA. He is presently
reading for Master of Public Management Degree at SLIDA.
In addition to that he has participated in the programmes
of District Development Administration, Certificate
in General Management and Disciplinary Procedure Programmes
held at SLIDA and Project Procurement programme sponsored by
the ADB. He has participated in a Workshop on Economic Development
Policies held in Japan in 1992 and a programme on Procurement
Procedures held in India in 2005. He has also participated
in an Advanced Management Programme held in India with a study
tour to The Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg
and Switzerland in 2007.
In 2008 he has attended a Senior Management and Leadership
programme at ASCI, India and Public Administration &
Governance programme at Civil Service College of Singapore. |

Mrs.
D. Haputantiri who was a member of Sri Lanka Planning
Service, was appointed as the Public Relations
Secretary to the Prime Minister in June 2009.
Mrs. D. Haputantiri graduated from the University
of Ceylon, Peradeniya with a degree in Arts.
She joined the Government Service in 1971 and
worked under the Ministry of Planning as a Plan
Implementation Officer till 1994.
Then in the same year she joined to the Planning
Service and worked in the Department of National
Planning.
She served as the Assistant Commissioner of Samurdhi
in Kalutara District from 1994 and worked there
till her retirement.
She has participated in various training programs
about poverty alleviating in Bangladesh, Pakistan,
Korea and Thailand. |

Lokuge |

Mrs.Arosha
Lokuge started her preliminary education at Anula
Vidyalaya, Nugegoda and received her secondary
education at ST.Thomas Girl’s High School, Matara.
Mrs. Lokuge Graduated from the University of Colombo
(Ceylon) with B.A. Degree.
She worked as a trainee in Department of Registration
of Persons (2005-2007).She worked as a Co-ordinating
Secretary to the Honourable Minister of Internal
Administration(2007).At present she is the Co-ordinating
Secretary to the Honourable Prime Minister. |

| Nalin Rajapksa |

Mr.Naleen Rajapaksa was educated at H/Ranna Maha Vidyalaya, H/Hungama Vijaya Maha Vidyalaya and Dharmarama College, Ratmalana. He pursued further studies at St.Thomas College, Matara.
He joined Sri Lanka Police in May 1968 and had served in many parts of Sri Lanka. He retired from Sri Lanka Police in December 2006 as a Chief Inspector of Police
From 1994 to 2006 he served as Chief Security Officer to the Hon.Prime Minister and also served as a Officer-in-charge of the Prime Minister’s Security Division (PMSD). He is a Justice of Peace for the whole Island.
He was appointed as Co-ordinating Secretary to the Hon.Prime Minister from November 2006. |
